Hampton Junior Soccer Club - Dates to remember for 2016

Registration for existing players will open in mid-January and we will hold a place for you until Friday 5 February. Returning players must register by this date if you want to be placed in the same team as 2015.

After a very successful 2015 season, where we grew our membership by nearly 20% and added another six new teams to our roster, we expect space in teams, particularly for the younger age groups, to be limited. So please register as early as you can.

New players will be accepted on a first come first served basis from 6 February into available spots in teams.

We are delighted to confirm that Football Star Academy (FSA) will continue to provide coaching for our Football Skills program from Term 1 through to Term 4.  This will be a yearlong program with registrations taken at the start of each term. The training from FSA will be available on Sunday mornings for our younger age groups and on Monday evenings for older age groups. More details will be available in January when registrations open.

This year’s Information Day will be Sunday 14 February, 10am-1pm, Simpson Reserve. Come down and ask all your questions, drop off your identification, have your ID photo taken or buy playing socks, shorts or a HJSC hoody.

Fees for 2016

As we continue to grow we have been able to maintain our registrations fees at the same level for the last two years, making us one of the cheapest soccer clubs in the area. Due to this growth we now need to register and charge GST. Unfortunately, as a club, we are unable to absorb this cost and, as a result there will be an increase in fees, in line with the GST amount for this year. Despite this increase we are still one of the cheapest soccer clubs in Bayside and believe playing soccer with HJSC is still excellent value for money.

HJSC will again run trials for certain age groups for players wanting to play at HJSC that are interested in playing in the Kangaroo or A team for their age group. The trials are entirely optional and players may choose not to trial if they would prefer to play in a team with friends who have also elected not to trial.

Trials will be running for the Under 11, 12 and 13 boys/mixed teams, and Under 14 and 16 boys’ teams. Trials for Under 16 boys will only be required if a sufficient number of players register. Trials will run on Sunday of 7 and 14 February. Players that are successful in these first round of trials will be invited to attend a third and final trial on Sunday 21 February.

Players in the relevant age groups will be emailed the specific details in January.
