Thanks to everyone for  your support towards our recent social night when International sports stars and their partners  flooded into Hampton for the night. The “A” list  included Warney & Liz, The Great Serena, Tiger and his harem, John McEnroe, King Henrik and Juddy to name a few. The night was a huge success with many members already requesting we go again early in 2012! Thanks to so many people, we not only had a great night, but managed to raise  a little over $3.000.00 for the club in one night.

We had a great turn out with an astonishing 190 people purchasing tickets to experience Captain Spalding and his band at their best in the Bowlo! The dance floor was packed from early in the night, particularly when our very own Clinton Bowditch put on his Tom Jones persona and  belted out a memorable rendition of “It’s Not Unusual.”

The Brown Cow’s food and service was again amazing, and exceeded all expectations thanks to the hard work and planning from  Julian, Leonie and Trish.  Their generous discount of almost $1500, ensured the night would be a fundraising success for us again in 2011.

The raffle alone made just over $1500, and we “pooled” the prizes to create a major prize worth in excess of $800 each for four lucky people. Without the donations and wonderful generosity  of our members we would only dream of this so a massive thanks to the following members for their support, Lohan, Hamilton, Warren, McCormack, Kastrinakis, Grant and Whitely families, Sally Hull (Madman Entertainment), Liz Elliott (Pilates Plus) and the Cherubino family (Adairs).

Finally we must thank our newest committee person, Leigh Walker for coordinating the whole event. Even more astounding considering she had to head overseas at 8.00am on the Sunday morning! (Honorable mentions to Simon Watkins, Jeff Young, Tim Fry, Clinton Bowdith, Stuart Murray and Sandy McPherson for helping with the set up and prelim arrangements)
